Histopathology

HISTOPATHOLOGY: WHAT IS IT?
Histopathology, which involves looking at tissues and/or cells under a microscope, is the diagnosis and study of disorders of the tissues. Histopathologists are in charge of diagnosing tissue samples and assisting clinicians in overseeing a patient’s care.
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF HISTOPATHOLOGY?
Doctors that specialize in histopathology collaborate often with other clinical disciplines. By evaluating a tiny amount of tissue from the skin, liver, kidney, or another organ, they can make a diagnosis. It’s known as a biopsy.
